my story so far
I am currently exploring the ways in which people and organisations in Libya are managing to communicate through severe restrictions placed on telecommunications and media by the Gaddafi regime. Over the last several years I have been joyously raising my two amazing children whilst working on ad-hoc communications and outreach programmes including for Business in the Community and the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth of the UNDP. I have a Masters in the Social Anthropology of Development from SOAS, University of London.
ask me 'why global tolerance?' and I will answer
In economically trying times there is a tendency amongst communities and households to play the blame game, to protect local and national interests and to become exclusionist and fearful of outside influences. I would like to see a wider-spread understanding of global economic ties, to support and international agenda for global citizenship, to promote respect and tolerance for fellow citizens of the world and to promote understanding of the links that unite us all.
the one thing I would change in the world is...
extreme tranisitory food insecurity - namely famine.

My children, my friends, new people, ICT4D, ICT4Peace, my guitar, quilting, hiking, reading and learning new languages.

A lot were about the occupation of the Stock Exchange and the Finsbury Square camp. This one about Libya was included. I would like to know what you think about it:
