my story so far
I am a displaced Australian studying English Literature in the country of its namesake. You can tell that I'm an English student because I quoted Emily Dickinson in a Facebook status once.
ask me 'why global tolerance?' and I will answer
global tolerance is driven by the principles of sincerity, beneficence, inspiration, understanding and humility-- and so am I, most of the time. global tolerance seemed like an ideal environment in which to spend my professional placement year.
the one thing I would change in the world is...
apathy.
I'm passionate about...
putting an end to discrimination; whether concerning faith or lack of, LGBT issues, national- or gender-identity, and issues surrounding disability.
connect with me to talk about...
Any of the above really!

Why global tolerance?

I never really knew what T.S. Eliot meant when he said that ‘April is the cruellest month’. But it is certainly a bittersweet time for me this year, as it marks my last month with global tolerance.

The Sound of Silence: Who would you photograph? [Open discussion]

Here on the global tolerance HQ on the Thames, we like to end each day with a shared silence. Sometimes we will use these 60 seconds to reflect on our day or a topic of our choosing.

After being inspired by an exhibition of Beat era photography during a team outing on Monday night, Nick asked us which group of people we would like to photograph.

The Sound of Silence: Travel [Open discussion]

Here on the global tolerance HQ on the Thames, we like to end each day with a shared silence. Sometimes we will use these 60 seconds to reflect on our day or a topic of our choosing.

Last night, I asked the team to consider which part of the world they would like to visit if they could. Where would you like to travel, and why?

The dialogue that comes out of these silences is always rewarding, and we would like to invite you to participate by joining our… Continue

Associations for the red ribbon can be grim but let's look at it as a symbol of hope.
